3 Retaining lugs
4 Recesses for retaining lugs
5 Interior lighting
6 Reading lamp
7 Grab handle
8 Molding
9 Curtain rail for rest area
10 Curtain rail, left/right
11 Profile gasket for door cutout

Removal, installation

Disconnect ground lead from battery

Completely remove curtain rails (10) on left and right

Remove roof stowage compartment with carrier frame

Pull cover for electric sliding roof (1) off of retaining tabs (2) in direction of arrow, then unhook retaining lugs (3) from recesses (4)

Installation: first hook cover in at top with retaining lugs in recesses, then slide lower retaining mounts onto retaining tabs

Remove molding strip on roof cutout

Pry dome lamp (5) out of headliner

Disconnect electric connector and remove dome lamp

Pry reading lamp (6) out at bottom, then unhook at top

Disconnect electric connector and remove reading lamp

Remove grab handle (7)

Loosen profile gasket for door cutout (11) in upper area

Remove side molding (8)

Installation: insert molding into curtain rail profile.

Remove curtain rail for rest area (9)

Remove spreading anchors at front roof frame connection

Remove front section of headliner

Reinstall in opposite order
