1	Remove rear section of lower engine compartment paneling	 Installation: Install bottom engine compartment paneling only after engine test run.	AR61.20-P-1105T
2	Remove crossmember (6)		*BA62.30-P-1001-01A
3	Support exhaust system (1) with transmission jack and transmission plate	Transmission jack gotis://H_00.10_01.0
		Transmission plate for passenger cars and commercial vehicles gotis://A_25/35/49_02.0
4	Detach exhaust system (1) from bracket (2), for this step unscrew nuts (3)	 Installation: Replace threaded rail and nuts (3).

5	Detach exhaust system (1) from firewall catalytic converter (157); remove screw/bolts (4) to do this	 Installation: Clean connecting points of combustion and corrosion residues, replace bolts (4). Check the rivet nuts in the exhaust manifold, if required: 
		Replace rivet nuts in exhaust manifold.	AR49.10-P-5531-01DA

6	Unhook exhaust system (1) from exhaust rubber mounts (5)	 Check exhaust rubber mount (5) for wear, replace if required.
		 Use lubricant
		Lubricant paste	*BR00.45-Z-1002-06A
7	Lower exhaust system (1)
8	Install in the reverse order
	Checking
9	Check installation position and unobstructed movement of exhaust system (1)	 The exhaust system must be mounted free of tension, align exhaust system if required.
 Danger!	Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
10	Conduct engine test run and inspect exhaust system (1) for leaks
