Loosen bolts (2a) of belt pulley (2)

Remove poly-V belt (2b)

Separate cable tie (7)

Disconnect electrical connector (8) at suction restrictor valve (Y86/1)

Open hose clamps (1c) and detach feed lines (3c, 4c) from power steering pump (9)



Detach ABC pressure line (4b)

Raise vehicle with vehicle lift

Remove bottom engine compartment paneling

Remove bolts (9a)

Position power steering pump (9) and detach belt pulley (2)

 Position power steering pump (9): Pull power steering pump (9) forwards until grub screws (9s) have moved out of the mount on the crankcase and out of bracket (9c). Push power steering pump (9) slightly to the side and back again.

Remove belt pulley (2)

Remove power steering pump (9) upwards

 Replace self-tapping bolts if necessary, observing the following:

 Never retap the thread.

 Use original bolts only.

 Do not hold bolts at an angle when screwing in.

 Do not use an impact wrench.

Install in the reverse order
