Remove

Detach left wheel

Depressurize compressed-air system

Disconnect electrical connector (1) and expose connection line (8)

Remove bolt (2) on air bellows support (3)

Unscrew bolts (7) and detach auxiliary steering axle steering angle sensor (B97) with brackets (4, 6)

Detach bracket (4, 6) from steering angle sensor of auxiliary steering axle (B97)

Install

Align markings on steering angle sensor of auxiliary steering axle (B97) relative to each other

Install steering angle sensor of auxiliary steering axle (B97) with bracket (6)

9

Tighten bracket (4) on steering angle sensor of auxiliary steering axle (B97) and on air bellows support (3) with bolts (2, 7)

Do not yet tighten bolts (5) on steering angle sensor of auxiliary steering axle (B97).

Install test adapter in the disconnected electrical connector (1) of the connection line (8)

Switch on ignition

Connect multimeter to red female test connector "Pin 1" and black female test connector "Pin 3" of test adapter

Check power supply of steering angle sensor of auxiliary steering axle (B97)

Connect multimeter to green female test connector "Pin 2" and black female test connector "Pin 3" of test adapter

15

Move steering angle sensor of auxiliary steering axle (B97) into center position

16

Adjust center position by turning the upper sensor part on steering angle sensor of auxiliary steering axle (B97)

Tighten bolts (5)

Switch off ignition

Remove test adapter and multimeter

Test adapter

Connect electrical connector (1) and attach connection line (8) to existing subharness

Attach left wheel
