Remove/install

Remove spiral contact coil (A45)

AR46.10-P-0200Q


Secure clock spring contact (A45) against twisting by means of locking pin (2).
Otherwise the clock spring contact (A45) may be damaged.

Remove steering angle sensor (N49) from steering column tube module

 Installation: When replacing the steering angle sensor (N49), remove the red transport adhesive tape before installation.



Check

Check basic position of steering angle sensor (N49)

 A yellow tooth should be visible in window (1).

If the basic position of the steering angle sensor (N49) relative to the clock spring contact (A45) has been changed or a black tooth should be visible in window (1), the basic position must be restored.



Adjust center position of clock spring contact (A45)
