Set the clock spring contact to center position

Remove clock spring contact (A45) from steering angle sensor (N49).

Screw in screws/bolts (32h) all the way into the clock spring contact (A45).

Rotate the clock spring contact (A45) counterclockwise until a slight resistance is detectable.


The clock spring contact (A45) is rolled up completely.

Rotate the clock spring contact (A45) back 2 to 2.5 revolutions clockwise until the screws/bolts (32h) can be unscrewed again through the openings and fix the clock spring contact (A45).


The entire rotation range of the clock spring contact (A45) is approx. 5 revolutions.

Align the steering angle sensor (N49) to original position.


In the original position, a yellow tooth should be seen in window (1). If the original position is changed, it must be adjusted by turning the carrier ring (2).

Mount the clock spring contact (A45) at steering angle sensor (N49).
