1 | Switch off ignition | ||
Danger ! | Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
2 | Drain off coolant | ||
| Notes on coolant | ||
See information from vehicle manufacturer.
3 | Detach plug from temperature sensor (1)
4 | Unscrew temperature sensor (1) from lower coolant connection of heat exchanger (3) | Installation: Replace the sealing ring (2).

5 | Install in the reverse order
6 | Perform a test drive and bleed hydrodynamic retarder | If present and possible, switch off the foot control of the hydrodynamic retarder. Move the vehicle at 50 km/h and switch on the hydrodynamic retarder 5 times in the first brake stage for approx. 5 s each time. |
