1 | Operate the brake pedal several times when the engine is switched off | In order to eliminate vacuum in brake booster. | |
2 | Drain coolant at radiator | ||

3 | Remove hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) | ||
4 | Remove air guide housing (1) | ||
5 | Detach vacuum hose (2a) from fitting (2) | ||
6 | Detach vacuum line from fitting (3a) of vacuum pump (3) | ||
7 | Raise lock (4a) and pull coolant line (5) out of fitting (4) | Installation: Install new O-ring. | |
8 | Remove bolts (3s) and remove vacuum pump (3) from cylinder head | Installation: Replace O-ring (3o). | |
9 | Install in the reverse order | ||

10 | Crank engine and check for leaks whilst it is running |
