1 | Secure vehicle against rolling | ||
2 | Depressurize air brake system | Pull vent valve on compressed-air reservoir. | |
3 | Undo the two opposing bolts (1) and remove washers (2) | Installation: Replace washers (2). | |
4 | Screw removal bolts (3) into the two released threads, and tighten the jam nuts (4) up to the contact surface | The thread length of the removal bolts (3) should be approx. 60 mm. | |
5 | Undo the remaining bolts (1) and remove relevant washers (2) | Installation: Replace washers (2). | |
6 | Uniformly release jam nuts (4) on both removal bolts (3) and keep doing so until the spring tension (7) lowers | ||
7 | Undo both removal bolts (3) and remove the housing (6) | ||
8 | Remove desiccant cartridge (8) and spring (7) | ||
9 | Take off seal (9) | Installation: Install new sealing ring (9). | |
10 | Remove filter (10), sieve (11) and seal ring (12) | ||
11 | Install in the reverse order | ||

12 | Charge air brake system | Allow the engine to run until the operating pressure of the air brake system is reached. | |
If the pressure regulator fails to stop filling the air brake system after reaching the operating pressure: | |||
Check shutoff pressure of pressure regulator, adjust if necessary. |
