| Disassemble | ||
1 | Remove cover (2), joint (3), spring (4), complete valve (5) and joints (6) from valve body (1) | Gather joints (6) to use them in assembly or to use them as reference when selecting new joints. | |
2 | Release Allen screws (23) and remove lever set (24) completely | ||
Remove lever set cap (25), release Phillips screws (22) and remove cover (21) | |||
3 | Remove fastening screw (8), pressure washer (7), bushes (20) and (19), drive disc (18), spacer washer (17), bush (15), and drive rod (16) | ||
4 | Remove wedges set (12) | Gather wedges (12) to use them in assembly to adjust the beginning of pressure. | |
5 | Remove spring (14) and shims (13) | Gather spacer washers (13) to use them in assembly. | |
6 | Remove complete piston (11) and spring (9) | ||
Remove seal ring (10) from piston (11) | |||
| Clean up | ||
7 | Clean up all components and check them regarding wears | Use suitable products to clean up the rubber and plastic components, because use of inappropriate clean products can damage them. | |
Set parts should be replaced every disassembly. | |||
| Assemble | ||
8 | Assemble joints (6) in complete valve (5) | Black covered part should be oriented to the side of the lower cover. | |
Joints set should be the same thickness of the joints set removed during the assembly. | |||
9 | Install complete valve (5), spring (4), joint (3) and lower cover (2) in valve body (1) | ||
10 | Assemble seal ring (10) in piston (11) | ||
Install spring (9), piston (11), washer (7) and screw (8) in valve body (1) | |||
11 | Install spacer washers set (13) in piston (11) | Spacer washers set should be the same thickness of the washers set removed during the assembly. | |
12 | Install rod (16), wedges (30), spring (14) drive bushing (15), and spacer washer (17) | ||
13 | Assemble drive disc (18) in bush (20) | ||
14 | Install bush (19) | ||
15 | Assemble cover (21) in square disc head (18) screwing it with Phillips screw (22) and then assemble complete lever (24) fitting it with screws (23) | ||
16 | Assemble all complete lever set in piston set formed by components of item (5) | ||
17 | Assemble all set formed by items (11) to (25) in valve body (1) | ||
18 | Press the set on lever position and fix it tightening screw (8) | ||
| Test | ||
19 | Install the manual valve of the semi-trailer brake in test stand and perform tests of leak and working | Wabco valve |
