Remove wheels

Remove brake drum

AR42.10-T-1010A

Remove brake shoes

 Front axle 733.406 only.

AR42.10-T-1020A

 Rear axle 748.5 only.

AR42.10-T-1020B

Remove circlip (3) and remove pin for return springs (4)

 Cast brake shoes have no locking ring

Drill out rivet heads and remove brake linings from brake shoe

 Always replace all the brake linings on the axle.



Check contact surface of brake linings on brake shoes

If the contact surface for the brake linings is not OK 

Rework or replace brake shoes

Rivet on new brake linings
