 	Remove/install
 Danger!	Risk of injury caused by pinching or crushing when working on springs or spring bodies that are under load	Use only approved tensioning devices; shield off hazard area if necessary. Inspect special tools for damage and proper operation (visual inspection). Wear protective gloves.	AS00.00-Z-0001-01A
1	Remove brake drum		AR42.10-T-1010AA
2	Detach upper retracting spring (1).	 Secure the two brake shoes (3) to prevent them from falling down.

3	Unhook both lower retracting springs	 Secure the two brake shoes (3) to prevent them from falling down.

4	Detach brake shoes (3) from brake carrier	 Installation: Clean support surfaces on brake carrier and the brake shoes (3).
	Check
5	Check brake drum and brake linings for wear		AR42.10-T-1090AA
6	Check support surfaces on brake shoes (3) for wear	 Replace worn brake shoes (3) subject to separate repair order.
7	Install in the reverse order
