Remove/install

Remove rear axle brake caliper

Disassemble

Remove vent valve

Remove dust caps (1)

 See Fig. A.

Hold one piston (2) securely with C-clamp and press out the free piston (2) with compressed-air


A wooden plate must be inserted into the lining slot.
Otherwise there may be damage to the piston (2).

Seal piston bore (3) with rubber cover and C-clamp and press out piston (2)


A wooden plate must be inserted into the lining slot.
Otherwise there may be damage to the piston (2).

 See fig. C.

Remove seal rings (4)

 See fig. D.

Clean all parts, check for wear and damage

If wear or damage present

Replace appropriate parts.



Assemble

Coat sealing ring (4) and pistons (2) with silicone grease and install

 See fig. E.
Silicone grease is included in the repair kit.

Fill dust caps (1) half-full with silicone grease and press onto shoulder of piston bores (3)

 See fig. F.
Silicone grease is included in the repair kit.
