Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Bleeding

1.1

Open cap (5) of brake fluid reservoir (1)

Only if bleeding takes place at the left front of the front axle.

Open cap (5) of brake fluid reservoir (2)

Only if bleeding takes place at the right front of the front axle.

Open cap (5) of brake fluid reservoir (3)

Only if bleeding takes place at the left rear of the rear axle.

Open cap (5) of brake fluid reservoir (4)

Only if bleeding takes place at the right rear of the rear axle.

Connect filler/bleeder unit and apply the specified bleeding pressure to the brake system

 Pay attention to manufacturer's operating instructions. Bleeding pressure 2.0 bar.

Connect vent hose of brake fluid receptacle to bleed valve (6)

 Carry out the bleeding procedure at all brake calipers at each hub drive.

Open bleed valve (6) by one or two turns


Model 437.420/421/425/426 with code A28 (Hub reduction gear encapsulation for service in extreme sludge conditions)Only brake fluid DOT 4 for model 200 may be used.
If another brake fluid is used, the brake system may malfunction.

 Clear, brake fluid which is free of bubbles must escape via the bleed hose.
If the brake fluid is replaced, brake fluid must be drained until it escapes free of bubbles and without contaminants (bright color of brake fluid).

Close the bleed valve (6)

Press brake pedal several times and check brake system for leak tightness and proper operation

If, after bleeding the brake system, it is suspected that there is still air in the circuit.



Bleed brake system again.

Switch off and remove filler/bleeder unit

 Pay attention to manufacturer's operating instructions.

Check brake fluid level, correct if necessary



Tighten cap (5) of brake fluid reservoir (1)

Only if bleeding was conducted at left front of the front axle.

Tighten cap (5) of brake fluid reservoir (2)

Only if bleeding was conducted at right front of the front axle.

Tighten cap (5) of brake fluid reservoir (3)

Only if bleeding has taken place at the left rear of the rear axle.

Tighten cap (5) of brake fluid reservoir (4)

Only if bleeding has taken place at the right rear of the rear axle.
