Remove/install

Remove brakepads on brake caliper (6) with brake lever for parking brake.

Brake caliper (6) with brake lever for parking brake.

Remove brakepads on brake caliper (6) without brake lever for parking brake.

2nd brake caliper (6) without brake lever for parking brake.

 The brakepads on the 2nd brake caliper (6) are removed analogous to the brake caliper of the front axle.

Remove bolt (1) from clevis (2) of spring-loaded brake cylinder (3).

Brake caliper (6) with brake lever for parking brake.

Adjust parking brake

 Installation: Before installing the bolt (1), the installed dimension of the spring-loaded brake cylinder (3) must be checked, see adjusting parking brake.
Install bolt (1) free of tension.
Replace cotter pin and coat bolt (1) with long-life grease.

Remove banjo bolt (4) from connector (5).

 Collect escaping brake fluid with a suitable container.

 Installation: Replace sealing rings of banjo bolt (4).

Opening in brake caliper (6) and on the connector (5) with suitable stop plug.

Remove screws (7) from brake caliper (6).

 Installation: Replace screws (7) and uniformly tighten on brake caliper (6).

Remove brake caliper (6).

Install in the reverse order.

Bleed brake system.
