Disassemble/assemble brake caliper on rear axle

Disassemble,

Danger!

Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.

Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Remove brake pads on rear axle

Remove rear axle brake caliper

AR42.10-D-0080B

Remove housing (3)

Remove plug (1)

Remove bellows (4) from housing (3)

Remove guide sleeves (6).



Assemble

Install guide sleeves (6).

 Use new cylinder head bolts (5). Do not tighten cylinder head bolts yet.

Insert bellows (4) into housing (3)

 Coat inside of bellows with grease provided.

Slide brake carrier (7) into housing (3)

 Coat guide sleeves and guide bores with grease provided. Check bellows are correctly seated on guide sleeves.

Install housing bridge (8)

 Use new cylinder head bolts (2)
