Empty the compressed air system

Remove the compressed air piping (5)

With the compressed air connector "VOSS 230"

Remove the single-circuit membrane brake cylinder (6) from the brake caliper (3)

Check the brake caliper connection housing (3) and the single circuit membrane brake cylinder (6)

If the single-circuit diaphragm brake cylinder (6) has corrosion on the sealing surfaces, the opening of the housing and the brake lever:



Replace the single-circuit membrane brake cylinder (6)



Install

Clean the sealing surfaces (1 and 8) and the coupling surfaces (4 and 7)

Install the single circuit membrane brake cylinder (6) with the new self-locking nuts (10)

 In the installation of a new single circuit membrane brake cylinder (6), the rubber plugs of the ventilation openings (arrows) must be removed.

 Apply grease in the hubcap (2) in the brake lever.

Install the compressed air line (5)

With the compressed air connector "VOSS 230"

 replace the O-ring.

Run an operation and action test on the service brake

If the combination brake cylinder (6) shows malfunctions:


