Remove propeller shaft

Separate front propeller shaft with sliding connection (1) and rear propeller shaft (2) at sliding connection

 Installation: Assemble the propeller shaft.

Coat splined profile with Molykote grease.



Long-life grease (NLGI grade 2)

Pull rubber boot (4) off front propeller shaft

 Installation: Replace damaged rubber boot (4) and pay attention to good seating.

Pull off rubber mount (7b) with grooved ball bearing (8)

 Installation: Press rubber mount (7b) with grooved ball bearing onto the linkage arm.

Press deep-groove ball bearing (8) out of rubber mount (7b) of propeller shaft

 Extraction and insertion tool

Check

Check rubber boot (4), rubber mount (7b) and grooved ball bearing (8) for wear

 Replace parts, if necessary.

Install in the reverse order
