1 Turn front end of left wheel 20° outwards, observe scale of turntable (1).
2 Read off steer angle of right wheel from scale of turntable (2).
L40.20-0031-01
3 Turn front end of right wheel 20° outwards, observe scale of turntable (2).
4 Read off steer angle of left wheel from scale of turntable (1).
The vernier scale allows a reading accuracy of 10 angular minutes, whereby intermediate values of 5' are clearly discernible. The value can be read off the center mark in complete angular degrees and intermediate values can be read off the vernier scale in angular minutes. The right vernier scale half applies to the right scale half, left vernier scale half applies to the left scale half.
Example: Inner wheel 20°, outer wheel 17° 30', gives a toe-out on turns of 2° 30'.
