 Pay attention to proper routing of return lines, otherwise they will be damaged.

 Clean surroundings and seal connectors immediately with stop plugs in order to prevent dirt ingress.



Remove heat shield under propeller shaft

Detach rear propeller shaft (106) from rear axle differential (50)

 The flex disk remains on the rear propeller shaft (106).

If the fitted sleeves are jammed: 

Loosen fitted sleeves of the flexible coupling on the flange.

Support differential (50) and lash down securely

Remove bolts (51a) of front differential mount (51)

 Installation: Pay attention to the correct installation position of shim (51b):

The triangular form of the shim (51b) must face upwards.



Lift out the left rear axle shaft (37) from the rear axle center assembly (50)

Vehicles with inserted rear axle shafts (37)

 Do not fasten an assembly lever to the protection ring (37a).

 Support assembly lever on rear axle center assembly (50) (e. g. with fork wrench).

 Tie rear axle shaft (37) securely in order to prevent the rear axle shaft (37) falling down.

 Installation: Replace the retaining ring at the inner splined profile.
