Disassemble

Install the differential on the support



Mark the position of the housing halves (1, 2) relative to one another

Remove locking wires on the bolts (3)

Remove bolts (3)

Separate housing halves (1, 2) and disassemble differential

Detach ring gear (4) from housing half (1)

Detach tapered roller bearings (5, 6) from housing halves (1, 2)



Clean the components



Checking

Check tapered roller bearings (5, 6) for wear

 In case of need the complete tapered roller bearing must always be replaced.

Assemble

Install tapered roller bearings (5, 6) on housing halves (1, 2)

Install ring gear (4) on housing half (1)

Assemble differential

 Coat moving components with a suitable lubricant.

Join housing halves (1, 2) together and attach bolts (3)

 The markings applied when disassembling must align.

Tighten bolts (3) evenly and diagonally and secure with locking wire



Check friction torque of differential
