	Disassemble
1	Remove the wheel hub (3)	Remove/install rear wheel hub Rear axle 746.923/973/976	AR35.20-B-0310G
		Remove/install wheel hub on trailing axleRear axle 749.915	AR35.50-B-0003A
2	Remove the brake disk from the wheel hub
3	Remove the inner ring of the inner bearing (1) together with the radial shaft sealing ring	 Utilize an appropriate mandrel.
4	Remove the outer race of inner bearing (2)	 Puller	*000589163300
5	Remove the outer race of outer bearing (4)	 Puller	*000589163300
	Check
6	Check the wheel fastening bolts for damages	If the fastening screws are damaged:
		
		Replace the screws.
7	Check the friction surface of the race ring for damages, worn or furrows	If there is damages, worn or furrows on the friction surface of the race ring:
		
		Replace the bearings of both side of the axle.

	Assemble
8	Install the outer race of outer bearing (4)	 Drift	*327589011500
9	Install the outer race of inner bearing (2)	 Drift	*345589071500
10	Install the inner race of inner bearing (1)	 Lubricate with grease.
		MB multipurpose grease, 400 g	*BR00.45-Z-1017-06A
11	Install a new radial shaft sealing ring	 Apply a sealing agent on the outer surface of the radial shaft sealing ring.
		Terolan 307/II, Dichtin 51, epple 22 sealant	*BR00.45-Z-1018-01A
		 Drift punch	*746589081500
12	Install the brake disk
13	Install the wheel hub on the rear axle	Remove/install rear wheel hub Rear axle 746.923/973/976	AR35.20-B-0310G
		Remove/install wheel hub on trailing axleRear axle 749.91	AR35.50-B-0003A
		 Fill the wheel hub internal space with grease.
