Remove

Remove complete rear axle (5)

Detach rubber stops (6) from rear axle (5)

Detach cover (7) from rear axle (5)

Mark center bearing (8) to rear axle (5)

Insert rear axle (5) into press and align

 Two helpers required.
Place support (2) on press and put rear axle (5) on. Position press-out sleeve (1) and fit hydraulic cylinder.

Press out center bearing (8) downwards

Install

Transfer marking from old center bearing (8) to new center bearing (8)

Turn over rear axle (5), insert into press and align

 Two helpers required. Place support (4) on press and put rear axle (5) on.

 Press-out/in tool

Align center bearing (8) and press in

 Place center bearing (8) on rear axle (5), position press-in support (3) and press in center bearing (8). When pressing in, make sure that the center bearing (8) does not tilt.

Remove rear axle (5) from press

 Two helpers required.

Attach cover (7) to rear axle (5)

Attach rubber stops (6) to rear axle (5)

Install complete rear axle (5)

Perform wheel alignment check
