Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

When working on the front-end assembly, be careful not to scratch, mark or notch the surfaces of aluminum parts. Otherwise the service life of the parts will be affected

 Installation

Only tighten nuts and bolts of chassis components when vehicle is in a ready-to-drive condition.

Detach brake cover plate



Detach left front rpm sensor (L6/1) from steering knuckle (5)

 Installation: When installing the left front rpm sensor (L6/1) ensure that the grommet for sealing the rpm sensor bore in the brake cover plate is pushed onto the left front rpm sensor (L6/1).



Press follower joint (8) out of steering knuckle (5)

Press tie rod joint (10a) out of steering knuckle (5)

 Installation: Replace self-locking nut.

 Installation: Replace self-locking nut.
