Remove/install

Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

When working on the front-end assembly, be careful not to scratch, mark or notch the surfaces of aluminum parts. Otherwise the service life of the parts will be affected

 Installation

Only tighten nuts and bolts of chassis components when vehicle is in a ready-to-drive condition.

Discharge front air suspension strut using STAR DIAGNOSIS

Raise vehicle with vehicle lift

Remove front wheel



Remove/install wheels

Press follower joint (8) out of steering knuckle (5)

 Secure steering knuckle (5) to prevent it from swinging away. The brake hose and electrical feed cables must not be stretched.

Remove left front fuse box and relay box in engine compartment

Undo expansion reservoir for coolant and place to one side

Detach upper wishbone (6) from front end



Inspect follower joint (8).

 If necessary, replace follower joint (8).
