5 Nuts

6 Bolts

7 Pin

 	Remove/install
1	Remove front wheel
	Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary		AP40.10-P-4050AK
2	Unscrew nut (4) from flange ball joint (1)	 Replace self-locking nut (4).
		 If pin (7) of flange joint (1) turns when nut (4) is slackened or tightened, counterhold pin (7).

3	Press flange ball joint (1) off steering knuckle (3)	 Check flange joint (1); replace if necessary.

4	Push transverse control arm (2) downward and remove flange ball joint (1) from steering knuckle (3)	 Installation: If corrosion protection layer was damaged when transverse control arm (2) was pressed down, damage must be repaired with preservation wax (spray can).	*BR00.45-Z-1003-05A
	Clean
5	Clean conical joint	 There must be no oil or grease on the cone and on the thread.
		 Oil or grease on the conical joint means that the cone is drawn in too far and the rubber boot is damaged in the case of rotary motions.
6	Unscrew and remove nuts (5) and bolts (6)	 Replace self-locking nuts (5).

7	Pull flange joint (1) out of transverse control arm (2)
8	Install in the reverse order
9	Perform wheel alignment check		AR40.20-P-0200AK
