Remove

Unlock and remove the collar nut (10) from the front axle

Remove the nuts (14) and the coupling flange (6)

 Puller

Separate the coupling flange (6), the thrust washer (7), the lock ring (8) and the radial shaft sealing ring (9)

Remove the brake drum (1)

Unlock the locking plate (4) and remove the slotted nuts (5 and 3)

Remove the wheel hub (13)

 Puller

Remove wheel screws (12) from wheel hub (13)

 Only if replacing the screws is necessary.
Use an assembly pin made of soft material.



Install

Mount the screws (12) securing the wheels

 If replaced.
Use an assembly pin made of soft material.

Install the wheel hub (13)

 Installation:
Install the wheel hub (13) carefully.
Risks of damaging the radial shaft sealing ring (9) or the sealing surface of the steering knuckle.

 Fill the steering knuckle sealing lip with lubricating grease.

Grease, DB supply specification 6804 - Class 267.0

Install the slotted nut (3), and the locking plate (4), the slotted nut (5) and adjust the wheel hub end play

Install the brake drum (1)

Place the thrust washer (7), the lock ring (8), the radial shaft sealing ring (9) and the coupling flange (6)

 Use a new radial shaft sealing ring.

Install the coupling flange (6) on the steering knuckle

 Apply a sealing agent in the coupling flange and in the steering knuckle groove.

Install the nuts (14)

 The tightening must be carried out in a cross way and in stages.
