Mount engine support frame and raise engine

 Do not lift up the engine too far otherwise the engine mounts will be subjected to tensile loads and as a result their vulkanizing may be damaged.

Remove bottom engine compartment paneling

Detach oil line (5) at the front of the engine oil pan (6)

Detach steering coupling from the lower steering shaft

Support and secure the front subframe (1) with the transmission jack and transmission plate

Detach engine mounts from front axle carrier (1); to do this, unscrew bolts (2)

Detach torsion bar bearings from longitudinal member; to do this, unscrew bolts (3)



Detach front axle carrier (1) from longitudinal member; to do this, remove bolts (4)



Lower front axle carrier (1)

 Only lower front axle carrier (1) far enough to ensure that lines and components are not damaged!

Install in the reverse order
