Remove cover from steering column

Adjust steering position of transferable steering so that the brake pedal pushrod (2) is easily accessible and the brake pedal (1) remains in range

Check clearance (a)

Check brake pedal (1) for ease of movement

If there are problems:



Make brake pedal (1) move easily.

Depress brake pedal (1) down to the noticeable pressure point and measure clearance (a)

Adjust clearance (a).

Loosen jam nut (3)

Adjust clearance (a) by turning brake pedal pushrod (2)

Lock brake pedal pushrod (2) using jam nut (3)

Check switch point for brake light switch (S4)

Depress brake pedal (1) down beyond the noticeable pressure point and check switch point for brake light switch (S4) by watching when the brake lamps light up

 The brake lamps must light up just after the pressure point.

If there are problems:



Adjust switch point of brake light switch (S4).

Adjust switch point of brake light switch (S4)

Detach bracket of brake light switch (S4)

Adjust bracket of brake light switch (S4) in elongated hole until the brake lamps light up just after the noticeable pressure point of the brake pedal (1)

Attach holder for brake light switch (S4)



Install

Move steering position of transferable steering to the straight-ahead position
