Move selector lever to position "D".

Raise vehicle with vehicle lift

 The vehicle must be horizontal.

Remove rear diagonal struts

 Installation: Only tighten bolts of diagonal struts when the vehicle is on its wheels in the curb condition.



Lower exhaust system as far as possible until the heat shield can be shoved to the rear

Release heat shield and slide to rear until the locking plate (1b) is accessible

 Installation: The shift rod (2) must be adjusted before installing the heat shield.

Unclip locking plate (1a) using a screwdriver and unhook shift rod (2) from range selector lever (3)

 Installation: Replace locking plate (1a).

Detach shift rod (2) from below at intermediate lever (4)

Take out shift rod (2)

Install in the reverse order

Adjust

Remove grub screw (5) from gearshift head (2a)

Check that range selector lever (3) and intermediate lever (4) are in correct position.

 Range selector lever (3) and intermediate lever (4) must be in position "D".

Screw new grub screw (5) into gearshift head (2a)

 Counterhold the head (2a) when tightening the grub screw (5). Do not move range selector lever (3) and intermediate lever (4) from position "D".


