1 | Move selector lever to position "D". | ||
2.1 | Remove rear section on bottom of soundproofing | Vehicles with diesel engines | |
Installation: Only install rear section of lower section of soundproofing after function test. | |||
2.2 | Remove rear part section of engine compartment paneling | Vehicles with gasoline engines | |
Installation: Install rear section of engine compartment paneling after the function test. | |||
3 | Unclip locking plate (1a) with a screwdriver | Installation: Replace locking plate (1a). | |
4 | Detach shift rod (2) at range selector lever (3) | ||
5 | Using needle nose pliers pull locking plate (1b) vertically downwards off the shift rod (2) | Installation: Install new locking plate (1b). | |
6 | Detach shift rod (2) at intermediate lever (4) | ||
7 | Take out shift rod (2) | ||
| Checking | ||
8 | Check bushings (5) and replace if necessary | ||
9 | Install in the reverse order | ||
Adjust | |||
10 | Unscrew grub screw (6) from head (7) | ||
11 | Move selector lever and range selector lever (3) into position "D". | ||
12 | Screw new grub screw (6) into head (7) | Counterhold head (7) when tightening grub screw (6). Do not move range selector lever (3) and intermediate lever (4) from position "D". | |
