	Removing
1	Remove shift mechanism		AR26.60-I-0001B
	Disassemble
2	Clamp the switch housing (10) into the vise	 Use suitable aluminum protective jaws.
3	Mark position of gearshift lever (1) on shift shaft (5)
4	Remove gearshift lever (1)
5	Remove protective cover (4)
6	Remove circlip (7)
7	Mark position of shift finger (6) on shift shaft (5)
8	Remove shift finger (6)
9	Remove breather (8)
10	Remove shift shaft (5) from shift housing (10).
11	Remove oil scraper ring (11)	 Observe correct installation position. The new oil scraper ring has to be fitted later on in the same position.

14	Remove radial seal (14)
	Assemble
15	Press radial sealing ring (14) up to end stop on the shift housing (10).	 Renew radial seal (14).

16	Install bearing bushing (13)	 Install new bearing bushing (13).

17	Press radial sealing ring (12) up to end stop on the shift housing (10).	 Renew radial seal (12).

18	Press oil scraper ring (11) up to end stop on the shift housing (10).	 Install new oil ring (11). Observe installation position of oil ring (11).
		Apply suitable sealing compound to oil ring (11) with steel edging.

19	Insert shift shaft (5) into switch housing (10)		*710589011400
20	Install breather (8)		*BA26.40-N-1002-01K

21	Heat shift finger (6) to approx. 100 °C, and then slide the shift finger (6) onto the shift shaft (5)	 Observe marked installation position of shift finger (6) (arrow).
22	Install circlip (7).
23	Install protective cover (4)
24	Install gearshift lever (1)	 Observe marked installation position of gearshift lever (1).
25	Unclamp switch housing (10) from vise
	Install
26	Install shift linkage.		AR26.60-I-0001B
