| Remove/Install | ||
1 | Detach gearshift lever at gearshift linkage (7). | ||
2 | Remove screw plugs (13) with sealing rings (12). | Install new sealing rings (12). | |

3 | Remove springs (11) and centering pins (10) from transmission housing (6) using a suitable bar magnet. | Installation: Observe installation position of centering pins (10) in transmission housing (6). | |
4 | Remove bolts (1) with washers (2) and take off spacer plate (5). | | |
5 | Remove shift housing (3) from transmission housing (6). | Do not press shift shaft against stop in shift housing (3) otherwise shift housing (3) may become damaged. | |
Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and install new gasket (4). Upper and lower shift fingers must mesh. | |||
6 | Remove stop plate (8) and push spring (9). | Installation: Check push spring (9) for damage and observe installation position of stop plate (8). | |
7 | Install in the reverse order | ||

8 | Shift transmission through all gears. | ||
9 | Check locking function of stop plate (8) in transmission. | It must not be possible to shift from 5th gear to reverse gear. |
