Put the assembly device (1) in the snap ring bores (3).
Possibly one of the snap ring bores (3) might be exactly above one of the transmission front part oil holes. In this case, care must be taken to ensure that the coupling parts on the assembly device (1) do not engage the oil drilling.

Turn the hexagonal part (2) of the assembly device (1) until the snap ring is compressed up to a point in which it is possible to remove-it from its fitting place at the transmission front part.

Relieve the assembling device (1) and remove the locking ring (3).

The assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
Remove and Install
The snap ring is subjected to an initial high pressure; therefore, the pressure must be reduced before being removed.
