Assemble

Coat ends of oil pipes (61, 62, 63) with lubricant and install oil pipes (61, 62, 63) into housing (36).

 Coat core hole cover (65) and stud bolt (64) with thread locking compound.

 Screw plug to housing

Quick-acting adhesive, Loctite 270

Drive cylindrical roller bearing (24) into housing cover (1) using a suitable drift.

Install ball bearing/cylindrical roller bearing (32) into housing (36) using a suitable drift.

Clean sealing surfaces on housing (36) and housing cover (1).


The sealing surface should be free of grease and dust.
Otherwise there may be adhesion problems.

Install shift cylinder (40).

Assemble drive shaft (25).

Install drive shaft (25) with shift fork (45) and control plunger (48).

 Replace O-rings (49) on control plunger (48) and coat with lubricant.

Install compression spring (46).

Assemble and adjust intermediate gear (21).

Install intermediate gear (21) with intermediate shaft (23).

 Align groove in intermediate shaft (23) with housing cover (1).

Assemble output shaft (5).

Install output shaft (5).

Assemble cluster gear (9).

Install cluster gear (9) with intermediate shaft (15).

 Align groove in intermediate shaft (15) relative to housing cover (1).

Coat sealing surfaces on housing (36) with sealant.

Loctite 5203 sealant

Attach housing cover (1) to housing (36).

 Observe installation position of cylindrical pins (2). When replacing the housing cover (1) replace the parallel pins (2) and bushes (3).

Insert balls (39).

Insert both caps (37, 38) of intermediate shafts (23, 15) with sealant and install.

 Replace bolts.

 Bolt to intermediate shaft

Screw in screw plugs (58, 59) with new sealing rings.

Determine shim (57) of output shaft.

Install radial shaft sealing ring (54) into flange (53) using a suitable drift.

 Coat sealing lip of radial shaft sealing ring (54) with lubricant.

Install flange (53) with shim (57) and new seal (52).

Install centering ring (33) all the way using a suitable drift.

Install housing cover (66) with shim (34) and new seal (67).
