Removing

Remove rear section of transmission housing (4)

Disassemble

Remove magnet (5) from
rear section of transmission housing (4)

Remove road speed pick-up (3)

4

Remove electrical switches
for neutral display (1)



Carefully remove bearing outer race (7) using a suitable drift from the rear section of the transmission housing (4)

Carefully remove bearing outer race (6) using a suitable extractor from the rear section of the transmission housing
4)

7

Remove ball socket (10) of rear section of transmission housing (4)

 Mark installation position of ball socket (10).



Use a suitable drift to carefully drive radial sealing ring (2)
out of rear section of transmission housing (4)



Clean

Clean all components



Checking

Check all components are in perfect condition, replace if necessary



Assemble

 Danger!

Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.

Install radial sealing ring (2)

 Install new radial sealing ring (2).



Heat rear section of transmission housing (4) in area bearing bore to approx. 100 °C and carefully press ball socket (10) up to end stop in the rear section of transmission housing (4)

 Observe installation position of ball sleeve (10).



Heat rear section of transmission housing (4) in area of bearing bore up to approx. 100 °C and use a drift to carefully press a bearing outer race (7) up to the end stop in the rear section of the transmission housing (4)

Heat rear section of transmission housing (4) in area of bearing bore up to approx. 100 °C and use a drift to carefully press a bearing outer race (6) up to the end stop in the rear section of the transmission housing (4)

15

Install electrical switches
for neutral display (1)


