1 | Detach compressed-air lines from range group cylinder (7). | ||
2 | Remove range group cylinder (7). | ||
3 | Remove sealing ring from shift piston (1). | Only for shift piston (1) with separate sealing ring. | |
The new version has a fixed sealing ring that is applied to the component part at the factory and cannot be changed separately. | |||
4 | Block shift rod (5) using holding device (4). | ||

5 | Remove shift piston (1) from shift rod (5). | Heat shift piston (1) up to approx. 80°C so that the quick-acting adhesive is released. | |

6 | Remove tappet (2) with spring from shift rod (5). | ||

7 | Insert tappet (2) together with spring into shift rod (5). | ||
8 | Apply quick-acting adhesive to thread of shift rod (5) and install shift piston (1) onto shift rod (5). | Quick-acting adhesive, Loctite 270 | |
9 | Tighten shift piston (1) on shift rod (5). | Remove any excess quick-acting adhesive from shift piston (1) and shift rod (5) using a rag. | |

13 | Attach compressed-air lines at range group cylinder (7). |
