Removing

Remove transmission

Remove output flange (1)

Fit holding device to output flange,

Remove output flange bolt (14), remove pressure plate (15),

Remove holding device, and

Remove output flange using puller.



Detach sensor of electropneumatic shifting aid (8)

Detach speedometer sensor (7)

Remove countershaft end cover (2)

Remove rear transmission cover (3).

Remove shims (4) for countershaft and shims (5) for main shaft from rear transmission cover (3)

Remove toothed lock washer (16) from main shaft

9

Pull inner race of cylindrical roller bearing (9) off main shaft



Install

Determine shim (5) for main shaft

Calculate thickness of shim (4) for countershaft.

Insert shims for countershaft and main shaft (4, 5) in rear transmission cover (3)

 Stick shims in rear transmission cover with some grease.

Knock inner race of cylindrical roller bearing (9) onto main shaft

 Use a suitable drift.

Fit toothed lock washer (16) to main shaft

Install rear transmission cover (3)

 Coat sealing surface with sealant.



Install countershaft end cover (2)

 Coat sealing surface with sealant.



Install sensor of electropneumatic shifting aid (8)



Install speedometer sensor (7)



Install output flange (1)

Heat up output flange and fit on main shaft,

Fit holding device to output flange,

Insert pressure plate (15), screw in and tighten mounting bolt (14), and

Detach holding device.


