14 | Detach heat shield (15) on exhaust pipe | ||
15.1 | Detach gate shift cylinder (13) with hydraulic lines attached on transmission and place to one side | If the transmission is not replaced. The gearshift must be in neutral. | |
15.2 | Detach hydraulic lines on gate shift cylinder (13) and place to one side | If the transmission is replaced. Collect fluid which runs out. | |

21 | Detach vent line (17) on power-assisted gear shifting solenoid valve (16) | ||
22 | Detach vent line (21) on main shutoff valve (20) | ||
23 | Detach wiring harness (2) at brackets and place to one side | ||
24 | Detach electrical lines of battery (24) on transmission and put to one side | ||
25 | Remove bolts (5) on left support arm (11) and right support arm (4) | | |
26 | Lift up transmission using a telescopic lifter approx. 20 mm and support engine at timing case | ||
27 | Detach left support arm (11) and right support arm (4) on transmission | | |
28 | Detach hydraulic line (19) from transmission | Catch escaping hydraulic fluid. | |

29 | Remove bolts on circumference of transmission | | |
30 | Remove transmission downwards. | Installation: Coat sealing surfaces with sealing compound. Remove cap (30) on gear module (31) and engage any gear using the driver. | |

33 | Bleeding air from hydraulic-pneumatic shift-control mechanism (HPS) | Only when the transmission has been replaced. | |
