1 | Remove gearshift lever in cab | | |
2 | Disconnect ground cable from battery | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury due to the raised cab. Risk of contusions and limbs being jammed when cab being tilted back. | Do not enter the tilting radius of the cab when tilting forwards and back, and screen off danger area to prevent unauthorized access. Always tilt the cab to the end position. | |
3 | Tilt cab to repair position, tilt back | ||
4 | Remove bolts (7) on propeller shaft (8) from the output flange | | |
5 | Remove propeller shaft (8) | Loosen boot on transfer case. | |
6 | Detach clutch slave cylinder (3) at transmission and attach at the side with hydraulic line connected | | |
7 | Separate plug connection (13) at reversing lamp switch | ||
8 | Loosen cable set above transmission | Cut open cable tie at the brackets | |
9 | Hook the transmission (1) into the lifting belt and secure | Use a suitable lifting tool. | |
10 | Remove bolts (11) from flywheel housing | Installation: Install the brackets (12) at the same point again. | |

11 | Support engine with inspection pit lift | Place a suitable wooden block between the engine and inspection pit lift. | |
12 | Remove exhaust pipe from turbocharger | ||
13 | Remove nut (6) from transmission bearing (5) | | |
14 | Lift up engine with transmission (1) | Lift up until the stud of the transmission bearing (5) is clear. | |
15 | Remove transmission (1) | Transmission input shaft should not be canted toward driven plate. | |
Using hoist, move out transmission upwards and lower. | |||
16 | Install in the reverse order |
