 	Remove/install
1	Remove torque converter clutch		AR25.40-W-0100A
2	Remove torque converter of torque converter clutch		AR25.40-W-0400A
3	Detach retarder from torque converter housing		AR25.40-W-0520A
4	Remove oil feed flange (1)	 Installation: Coat contact surfaces of oil feed flange (1) with sealing compound.	*BR00.45-Z-1009-01A

5	Remove O-ring (2) at oil feed flange (1)	 Installation: Replace and grease the O-ring (2).
6	Inspect piston ring (4) for wear, replace if necessary.
7	Check bearing outer race (3) of tapered roller bearing for wear	 Check bearing outer race (3) in oil feed flange and bearing inner race on rotor of retarder for wear, replace entire tapered roller bearing if necessary.

8	Remove bearing outer race (3) of tapered roller bearing from oil feed flange (1)	 Only if worn.
		 Installation: Heat oil feed flange to approx. 100 °C and press in bearing outer race (3) all the way with drift.

9	Install in the reverse order
