Check

2

Visually inspect clutch plate and cover.

Check for abnormal wears, overheating marks, breakages of torsional springs, clutch cover fingers wear, oil contamination and any other damages.

3

Insert release bearing onto guide tube of the transmission.

Ensure that the release bearing can move freely on sleeve.
To avoid the damage of sleeve.

Keep dirt, oil, lubricating grease away from clutch.

Check clutch plate assembly

4

When the hub splines have been greased, fit the clutch plate on the power output shaft.

Use recommended lubricating grease on the hub splines of the clutch plate to ensure easy movement on the transmission input shaft.

Slightly move the components forward and backward and wipe off excess lubricating grease.

5

Insert the power output shaft in to the hub of the clutch plate.

Be cautious while inserting.
To avoid damage of the splines.

Check clutch cover assembly

6

Visually inspect the cover, clutch pressure plate, straps, and diaphragm spring for any damages.

Remove dirt and contamination from the clutch cover before installation.

Check flywheel and transmission components

7

Inspect flywheel for flatness.

AR03.30-Y-8022-01A

8

Visually inspect flywheel.

Check for damaged threads and damaged centering shoulder, guide bearing for free and easy rotation.

9

Visually inspect interface of flywheel housing to transmission front housing.

Check for any damage or dirt that leads to misalignment.

The release bearing is self-centering, but can compensate only a limited amount of misalignment.

Inspection of clutch components on vehicle

10

Check clutch master cylinder for internal or external seal leak.

11

Check clutch booster hydraulic and pneumatic hose connections for any leakages.

12

Check wear indicator on clutch booster to evaluate the wear on clutch.

GF25.00-Y-0700A

If the limit value exceeds specified limit,

clutch plate needs to be replaced.

13

Check whether the clutch requires overhauling and remove if necessary.

14

Inspect the flywheel friction surface for any abnormal patchy wear/heat cracks/overheating marks, etc.

15

Measure the thickness of the flywheel and runout of the friction surface.

AR03.30-Y-8022A

Skim the friction surface within the limit value maintaining the minimum thickness of the flywheel if necessary.

Install
