Remove/install

Remove air intake hose (5)

Remove heat shield (3) on exhaust manifold (1)

Remove oil dipstick guide for tube for automatic transmission on cylinder head

 On models fitted with automatic transmission.

Remove exhaust system (8) on exhaust manifold (1)

Loosen collar nut (7) and unbolt


 Installation: Replace collar nuts (7), tighten center of manifold to the left/right alternately.

Remove exhaust manifold (1) with seal (2)

 Installation: Install new gasket (2), clean sealing surfaces.

Check studs for damage; replace if necessary.


