Danger!

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near engine

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

Open tailgate and right rear side flap

Loosen nut (4)

Remove screw (3)

Installation: Screw in bolt (3) up to the stop and unscrew again by around 10 revolutions.

Open vent valve (5) (arrow)

This opens the compressed air cylinder (2).

Remove the bearing pins (6) from the compressed air cylinder (2)

Installation: Bearing pin (6).

Remove poly V-belt (1)

When removing, swivel the refrigerant compressor to the side of the engine.

Depending on the space available, it may be necessary to remove the rear bumper:

Install in the reverse order

Start engine

This will restore the correct belt tension.

Turn off engine

Check that the poly-V belt (1) is seated correctly
