1 | Disconnect ignition | ||
2 | Remove the lower insulation coating (1) | ||
3 | Remove the front bumper (2) | ||
4 | Remove the upper front cross member (5) | ||
5 | Remove the front grille (3) | ||
6 | Remove front right headlamp (4) together with turn signal unit | ||
7 | Detach charge air hose at top (7) and at bottom (8) at charge air cooler (6) | Connections must be free of oil. | |
Installation: Check the correct state of the boost air hoses and flanges and replace if necessary | |||
8 | Detach plug connection of charge air cooler fan (M43.1) from fixture of radiator shroud and separate | ||
9 | Remove the safety bolt (10) | ||
10.1 | Unscrew bolt (14) and take off bracket (15) | Only if code H06 (air conditioning) fitted | |
11 | Raise the radiator (9) with the boost air cooler (6) and remove the journal (12) and the bearing rubber (11) from the boost air cooler (6) | ||
12 | Take the boost air cooler (6) out of its guides (arrow) in the radiator and remove upwards | Installation: Present the boost air cooler (6) upwards and insert it in the radiator guides (8) (arrows) | |
13 | Remove the boost air cooler fan | ||
14 | Installation in reverse order |
