	Inspect
 Danger!	Risk of accident as vehicle may start off by itself with the engine running. Risk of injury as working around the engine during start-up or while running may result in contusions and burns	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
1	Start engine
2	Check turbocharger (1) for untypical noises and vibrations	 Untypical noises and vibrations can result through a defect of the turbine wheel (3) or compressor turbine wheel (4) or through leakage of the intake, compression or exhaust system.
3	Check intake line for leaktightness and condition	 The suction of foreign substances can damage the compressor turbine wheel (4).
	Intake line between air cleaner and engine - inspect for condition and leaks		AP09.00-T-0953A
4	Check compression and exhaust system for leaks
	Inspect exhaust system for leaks and proper condition		AP49.00-T-4950A
5	Switch off engine
6	Remove engine brake flap connection	Model 613.358/388	AR14.15-T-6302BA
		Model 671.015/020/021/030/042/332/333	AR14.15-T-6302AA
7	Remove air intake hose	Model 613.358/388	AR09.10-T-8030BA
		Model 671.015/020/021/030/042/332/333	AR09.10-T-8030AA
8	Check turbine wheel (3) and compressor turbine wheel (4) for damage through foreign substances	 If necessary clean exhaust connection and intake system and also:
		Remove/install turbocharger

9	Inspect axial play and radial play at rotor shaft (2)	 If during the test an impermissible play is determined, replace turbocharger. 	AR09.40-T-5910-01BB
		Remove/install turbocharger

10	Install air intake hose	Model 613.358/388	AR09.10-T-8030BA
