3 | Remove the upper left chassis acoustic encapsulation | ||

5 | Clean the engine block in the area of the corresponding injecting unit | ||
6 | Remove injecting pipe (4) from the corresponding injecting unit |

7 | Identify the injecting unit in relation to each cylinder | Only when removing several injecting units. | |
8 | Remove holder of gear lever in the head | Only in vehicles with code (GS1) "mechanical" gear command and for removal of the injecting unit from 1st cylinder (Y6). | |
9 | Remove holder (2) of the hydraulic pipe and holder (3) | Only in vehicles with code (GS3) "hydraulic" gear command and for removal of the injection unit from 1st cylinder (Y6). | |
Do not separate hydraulic pipes. | |||
10 | Remove fixing ruler for the electric harness of the engine (5) with Start Engine and Stop Engine buttons in the engine block | Only necessary if, in the engine 924.9, the injection unit of cylinder 2 (Y7) or the injection unit of cylinder 3 (Y8) is removed i.e. in engine 926.9, the injection unit of cylinder 4 (Y9) or the injection unit of cylinder 5 (Y10) is removed. | |
11 | Separate the electric harness of the engine (5) in the corresponding injecting unit | ||
12 | Loosen the screws (6) of the corresponding injection unit and unscrew approx. 4 to 5 mm | The injecting unit is under tension force and may be thrown out if hit when screws are being loosened (6) from the engine block and, therefore, it may be damaged. | |
13 | Install impact drawer (8) in the respective injecting unit | Impact extractor | |
14 | Remove the respective injecting unit with the impact drawer (8) up to the top of the screws (6) | A stuck injection unit cannot be removed from the electromagnet valve or from housing flange, because it may damage the electromagnet valve. | |

26 | Execute test run to check the engine, turn it off and search the area of the injecting unit for any leakages | Actuate the starter for no more than 90 seconds. The fuel system bleeds automatically. Should the engine not stop or not start, repeat the start procedure after waiting 2 minutes. | |
27 | Connect Star Diagnosis and reprogram the bar code of the injecting unit | Only in case of installation of new injecting units. | |
