2 | Separate cable ties at the rail (21) | Installation: Replace cable ties. | |
3 | Separate plug connection of rail pressure sensor (1) and plug connection of pressure regulator valve (2) | ||

4 | Remove injection lines (21/6) | When slackening and tightening the union nut, counterhold at threaded connection with wrench. Do not pinch or bend injection lines. | |
Installation: Ensure exact seating of the injection lines. Inspect sealing cone at the lines, replace line if compression points exist. | |||
5 | Detach pressure line of high pressure pump (19/1) at rail (21) | Detach bracket (3) of pressure line | |

6 | Disconnect fuel return flow line (21/4) at the rail (21) | Pay attention to use of locking arm. | |
Installation: Replace sealing ring (6) | |||
7 | Detach fuel return flow line (22) at rail (21), pull off leak oil line (21/3) | Installation: Replace sealing rings (23) | |

8 | Remove rail (21) | If the rail is replaced: Rail is supplied with rail pressure sensor (B4/6) and pressure regulator valve (Y74) installed | |

9 | Install in the reverse order | ||
10 | Read out fault memory and erase | Stored faults which may be caused by disconnecting cables or by simulation during removal and installation or test operations, must be processed in the fault memories after completing the work. Refer to: | |
