Install
1 Insert centering tube (7) into the bearing bore and bolt bearing flange (5) onto crankcase with two bolts M10x25.
T05.20-0022-01
2 Insert spindle tube (8) into the bearing flange (5).
3 Turn spindle tube (8) until the locking pin (10) locks in the slot (arrow) of the spindle tube (8).
T05.20-0025-01
4 Oil camshaft bearing (14) on outside and fit onto the bearing mounting (9). The locking ball of the bearing mounting (9) must engage in the oil drilling of the bearing (14) (arrows).
If the camshaft bearing is not locked this will result in the lube oil passage being closed off
5 Push spindle tube into crankcase and insert the bearing mounting (9) with the camshaft bearing (14) in behind the respective bearing point so that the bearing is pointing in the direction of the star handle.
Install not more than two camshaft bearings during each operation.
T05.20-0026-01
6 When drawing in the inner camshaft bearings, insert the locating ring (11) in the bearing bore of the collar bearing.
T05.20-0027-01
7 Insert locking piece (10) into the slot behind the bearing mounting. Turn the star handle in the clockwise direction and draw in the bearing sufficiently until the oil drilling (15) of the bearing is aligned with the oil drilling (16) in the crankcase.
Locking the camshaft bearing on the bearing mounting fixes the installation position of the oil drilling (15) of the bearing relative to the oil drilling (16) in the crankcase.
T05.20-0029-01
8 When locking the collar bearing on the bearing mounting, ensure that the oil drillings (17 to 19 and 18 to 20) are correctly assigned.
The oil drillings of the collar bearing are not positioned symetrically.
If the oil drillings are incorrectly assigned this will result in the lube oil passage being sealed off.
9 Remove insertion tool.
10 Gage camshaft bearings.
11 Inspect the oil passages at all camshaft bearings for blockage.
