Removing/installing

Remove upper timing belt cover (1)

Disconnect camshaft rpm sensor
connector (X47)

Remove tensioning pulley (2) for poly-V-belt tensioning device on refrigerant compressor

Remove crankshaft belt pulley

Remove belt pulley (3) of coolant pump

Remove bolts on lower timing belt
cover (4)

 The lower timing belt cover (4) is fixed in place by six bolts.

Carefully pull the lower timing belt cover (4) to the rear and remove upwards

 Installation: Ensure correct seating of the connector (5) in the lower timing belt cover (4) otherwise the crankshaft rpm sensor can be damaged.

Install in reverse order
